I saw an advert for a position advertised on University of London Student Union Careers website. It was working via Hays Resource Management at a leading financial organisation. I was interested at the time as I was looking for work experience/paid job at a Bank.
Although I didn’t actually meet my consultant until I was placed by her, we had much contact via phone and email, and she was very friendly, helpful and encouraging.
My consultant prepared me well for the interview. In fact I think I was a little too prepared as I did a lot more research than necessary but in the end I suppose that helped my confidence.
Throughout the recruitment process there was very good communication between my consultant & I, who kept me updated and was happy to listen to my concerns and further questions, especially when offered another position elsewhere.
The role is exactly as described in the job spec and in the interview, and I feel some parts of the role were emphasised like multitasking & proactive working approach, and this is certainly required.
Hays RM is very organised and makes one feel welcome, particularly helpful in explaining payment methods and how to get familiar with passwords and holiday pay issues as these tend to be a little complicated.
I have already recommended working via Hays RM to friends and will continue to do so.
